Cool down you old fruit

Summer produce season is my guilty pleasure. I am always purchasing a ridiculous amount of produce and not necessarily eating it. Instead of letting it go bad, you can always freeze n’store for fall. Usually fall is a good time to have some frozen summer fruit around because just as those nasty old leaves stop being cute, so do apples.

When freezing fruit it’s best to use whole berries and freeze them individually on a tray lined with parchment paper. When finished place in a plastic bag and remove as much of the air as possible.

It’s a great way to store yummy berries from the summer and an awesome keep cool icey snack in the fridge.

  1. Great advice. I’m freezing lots of berries to use over winter. I’m also making lots of jam to can. Found you on Leftover Queen, will be giving this a stumble!

    1. Thanks! trying to keep up with the blog but in the midst of quarter life crisis. Just finished my orientation at Johnson and Wales in Miami and will be starting Culinary School in September!! Will try to post more soon. I will be sure to check out your blog, thanks for visiting 🙂
